Founded in 1946, BOLAR has 57 years of history and still counting.

The foot grille system as it is known today, is the result of many transformations brought about by the users over time.

For new construction or renovation BOLAR offers you a wide variety of products that will satisfy your needs for all commercial, institutional, industrial and/or residential building.

GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS & OPTIONS

GRILLES:
To ensure quality, we have continued our policy of assembling the bars with traverse rods riveted at one end and bolted down at the other. The traverse rods are covered by a bushing which has dual function:
protects the traverse rods against corrosion
maintains even spacing between the bars to ensure the stability of the product. The space required between the bars may vary to suit your needs. We recommend a 4.7 mm (3/16") spacing.

Finishes:
Our standard: Natural mill finish. A choice of anodized colors is also available. Not recommended for the surface of the grilles that come into contact with shoes.

FRAMES:
Models and applications for all Foot Grille Systems
Aluminum alloy 6063-T5 or
Stainless steel alloy 304 or 316L
VV Cement, terrazzo or ceramic tile floors.
TT Wood floor.
TT Cement floor with carpet.
TT Existing space in cement , terrazzo or tile floors.
AD Existing space in cement, terrazzo or tile floors.

Aluminum alloy 6063-T5 or
Stainless steel alloy 304 or 316L
WW For anchoring in concrete
WWI For anchoring in concrete
SSA For surface application in aluminum alloys 6063-T5

All our frames, except the SSA models, are offered with an optional anchoring device 100 mm X 7 mm (4" X 5/16") every 600 mm (24"). All of our frames are offered with an optional noise buffering neoprene cushion.

PANS:
Recommended is a 1 mm (22 ga.) pan. Other gauges also available.
There is a wide variety of material to choose from for the architect:
stainless steel
aluminum
brass
galvanized steel

We recommend stainless steel for long lasting usage. All our frames as well as the pans, which come into contact with the cement, are given two (2) coats of bituminous paint. The depth of our pans can also be adjusted upon request. All joints of our frames and pans are sealed with a waterproof epoxy product.
