Insulated Fire Doors - FSFD-IS and FSFD-TR

Insulated Fire Doors are designed in two ways.  The FSFD-IS is designed for interior or exterior applications where climactic temperature transfer as well as fire rating is an issue.  The model FSFD-TR is used in areas where a temperature rise rating is required.

Advantages

Both Insulated Fire Doors are provided with the Auto-Set™ system and therefore possess all of the auto-set advantages.  Insulated Fire Doors are compact in design and thus require a minimum of headroom and side room.

Applications

The model FSFD-IS is an Insulated Fire Door that is designed for openings which are exposed to the elements.  One example would be to use an Insulated Fire Door when the adjacent building is too close to your structure, therefore causing your exterior door to be of rated construction.

Model FSFD-TR is a Temperature Rise Rated Insulated Fire Door.  These units are are required in egress corridor areas and on emergency egress staircases in excess of two stories, as well as on the bulkheads of ships.
