| PART
1 - GENERAL 1.01 Related Work 1. The area where "SAFEGARDE" wire mesh enclosure is installed shall have a concrete slab, trowelled smooth and hard. 1.02 System Description 1. This document specifies a pre-engineered wire mesh enclosure system consisting of wire mesh panels, posts, doors and hardware. 1.03 Quality Assurance 1. System Manufacturer: Established firm with a minimum of 10 (ten) years experience in the design and fabrication of wire mesh enclosure systems. 2. Installation: Safegarde system can be installed by the end users labour, or EDWARD’S installers. 1.04 Warranty 1. The supplier shall warrant the "SAFEGARDE" wire mesh partition to be free from manufacturing defects for a period of 1 year. 2. Warranty does not cover maintenance, or damages caused by abuse and/or conditions beyond the control of the supplier. |

2 - PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS 2.01 Approved Manufacturer 1. System Manufacturer: 2. Posts: Standard post
shall be 8' high, 2" x 2" seam welded square steel tubing.
Standard post spacing shall be either 8' or 10' centre. 3. Doors: (Swing) Swing
doors shall be made of the same material and method as the panels, plus a
1 1/4" x 1/8" flat steel bar welded across the center and two
1/2" round diagonals stay bars. Doors shall be equipped with a set of
padlocking hasps, two door stoppers and 1 1/2" pair of steel pin
hinges. 4. Doors (Sliding) :
Sliding doors shall be made of the same material and method as the panel,
and are reinforced with 1-1/2" square tubing bolted to the front and
rear leading edges. Doors shall be equipped with equivalent #68 Stanley
track, two #64 hangers, door guide, receiver and a set of hasp for
padlocking. 5. Roofs: Roof panels
shall be made of the same material and method as regular panels and are
designed for security purpose only. Roof panels are not live load bearing
capable unless specifically designed for a specific load. 6. Finish: Finish shall
be standard Cogan Gray enamel applied with hot airless electrostatic
process. (Other colours available) 7. Hardware: All
necessary assembly fasteners shall be provided except floor and wall
anchors. 8. Installation: Erection of the "SAFEGARDE" Wire Mesh Partition shall be made in accordance with the instruction shown on the installation drawing and related documents. |

The Safegarde system offers efficient protection for goods stored in condominiums and apartment buildings.
These systems are tough, fire-resistant, easy to install and virtually maintenance free. The units are made of welded wire-mesh which lets the air and light through, thereby eliminating any need to transform the storage area's lighting and ventilation systems. With the Safegarde system, you can turn an unused area into a practical and secure storage space at a minimum cost.
ECONOMICAL SAFEGARDE MULTI-PURPOSE LOCKERS ARE ENGINEERED FOR EASY INSTALLATION.Doors and panels are constructed as single units. Anchor to the floor and wall as desired for rigidity and the job is done. All necessary hardware is included.
The frame of the panels and doors are made of 1 1/4" x 1 1/4" x 12ga cold rolled steel, formed for extra strength and rigidity. The wire-mesh is made of 2" x 2" x 10 gauge welded fabric. The door frames are equipped with steel pin hinges, door stops, and padlock hasps. Locks are not included. The components are electrostatically sprayed with medium blue or grey enamel.
